Info:
ECO & Etna Borough invite you to this special event and fundraiser for the future Etna Library. Join us to hear Brazilian jazz from the Lilly Abreu Quintet while sitting outdoors and enjoying Etna’s award-winning riverfront park. Spoil your loved ones with additional add-on items like a mimosa pitcher, a box of chocolate truffles from Pollak's, and flower bouquet from Always in Bloom. Whether you are bringing family members to celebrate Mother’s Day or want to support Etna’s efforts to build a library, we welcome your support - all-ages & all families are welcome.
There are two timed tickets: 10:00-11:15 a.m. and 11:30-1:00 p.m. Guests are asked to arrive on time and respect the schedule so that two rounds of guests can enjoy the brunch. Attendees are welcome to stay at the park and enjoy the morning/afternoon, but will be asked to give up their table to the next round of attendees starting at 11:15. All attendees must have purchased the brunch ticket, either "regular" or "kid".
However if you don't plan to attend/stay for the event, you are still welcome to order flowers or chocolates to support the fundraiser. All items must be picked up on the day of the event at the Etna Riverfront Trail & Park (no alternate times or delivery available). In event of rain, food, mimosas, flowers, and chocolates will still be distributed on Sunday, May 14 while the concert will be moved to Saturday, May 20. Refunds are not available as all items will be ordered and paid for in advance.
Food:
For the adult ticket, attendees will receive five food items from Oakmont Bakery and La Gourmandine Bakery as well as drinks (items seen in photo above):
Quiche Slice Lorraine (quiche with bacon and caramelized onions)
Tarte au Citron (classic lemon tart topped with Italian meringue)
Pecan Roll (contains pecans)
Cannoli (Italian pastry)
Berry Cup (mix of strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries)
Drinks (coffee, orange juice, water)
For the kid ticket (for children 12 and under), attendees will receive three food items from Oakmont Bakery as well as drinks (items seen in photo above):
Chocolate Muffin with Chocolate Chips
Pecan Roll (contains pecans)
Berry Cup (mix of strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries)
Drinks (orange juice, water)
A few qualifiers to help set expectations :) All food will be served at outside temperature - not heated. We are not able to make any substitutions for dietary restrictions. Please keep in mind that this is NOT a full-service restaurant and the people on site are volunteers supporting the library project. We think it will be a great event - but also - keep expectations realistic (or modest) for a volunteer-run fundraiser. Upon arrival, attendees will receive tickets for food. Food will be packaged in boxes. Attendees will receive a food box and carry it to the table area. Plates, utensils, cups, napkins, water, and orange juice will be at the tables. Coffee is available but attendees will have to pick it up at a central location where it is being brewed. Coffee is a drip coffee. If you have ordered a ticket with a mimosa pitcher, you will be able to pick-up the pitcher at a central location adjacent to the coffee. That being said, the atmosphere at the park is spectacular, and the offerings from some of the areas best bakeries will not disappoint. Top it off with the amazing talent of Lilly Abreu, and this will be Mother's Day to remember!
