McKoy's project on mental health seeks input

Updated: Sep 17, 2021

The Placemaking Project that ECO and the Sharpsburg Neighborhood Organization (SNO) have been working on with local artist, Jason McKoy, is entering into the community engagement phase of the process. The goal is to begin a conversation about this topic that is often “swept under the rug” and stigmatized in our society. ECO, SNO, and Jason will be soliciting responses from residents of both communities to inform the development of the art installation, which scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2022. Jason has set up an online survey where people can anonymously share their experiences with mental health struggles, especially during the challenging year and a half that we have all collectively experienced.

We need to hear from you! Please take a few moments to fill out this online survey. Also, look for our tent at the Etna Art Tour where you can receive more information about this project, and receive materials to share your experiences in person or via traditional mail. Your participation will help to shape the project and is an important part of the sharing process as we move forward together.
