Triboro Library Study to Hold Public Meetings

Originally Published in March 2021-

Last month, we shared that Etna is participating in a study about how to bring library service to the community. Please join us for two public meetings as we envision a shared community library system for Etna, Millvale, and Sharpsburg. With the help of the Allegheny County Library Association, Triboro Ecodistrict, The Forbes Funds, and Fourth Economy Consultants, we are exploring what a shared system might look like and we need your input!

These public meetings, though virtual, will be interactive, collaborative, and focused on creating a shared vision for a library. During these two-hour sessions, you will be able to provide feedback on several scenarios regarding the guiding vision, programming, governance, and even naming of this prospective community asset. We will use Zoom, and a free software called meetingsphere, to engage in collective brainstorming. Help shape the future of libraries in our communities! Vision Session Monday March 22, 5-7PM Register here: https://library_vision.eventbrite.com Programming and Services Session Tuesday March 23, 4-6PM Register here: https://library_programs.eventbrite.com A third meeting is scheduled on Tuesday, March 30 around the Library Model and Funding. It is intended for municipal representatives and board members. If you have questions or interest in attending the third meeting, please email megan@etnacommunity.org

Funding for this project was provided by The Forbes Funds. The lead partner on the grant and project is the Allegheny County Library Association.
